Most moms notice an increase in supply within 1-3 days of starting Fenugreek. Dosage is 2-4 capsules 3 times a day. Can be used for short-term or long-term use. No documented side effects for nursing baby. Possible side effects for nursing moms include: diarrhea or loose stools, perspiration or urine that has a maple syrup odor, exacerbation of asthma symptoms, lowering of blood sugar if taken at higher than normal dosages.
